Annie and Brad's latest goings on.

I don’t want to bump the beautiful pictures of Brad and Maggie, so be sure to scroll down and see them if you haven’t yet.

The video here is an example of what you’d find us doing anytime between 5:30 and 7pm these days.  Lately, Maggles has been skipping (or seriously shortening) many of her naps during the day and eating intermittently.  We had a nice groove going there for several weeks, but that seems to have gone by the wayside.  Sometimes I worry she’s not eating enough, but she seems to be growing just fine.  She’s finally fitting into a lot of her 3-6 month clothes.  It’s funny, these are clothes that were HUGE just a couple months ago and, now, here she is getting all long and grown up.

As you can see from the photos in the previous post, her neck strength is really developing now.  It seemed to happen overnight.  I’m glad because the flat spot on the back of her head was becoming quite pronounced. I’m hoping that rolling over isn’t too far away.  We definitely need to move her from her bassinet to her crib soon.

She giggles out loud and smiles a lot these days.  I try to capture it on the video camera, but as soon as I pull the camera out she focuses on the camera and stops giggling.  I’ll keep trying to capture it for you.

Sleep - well, we can’t complain.  We typically only have to get up once during the night to feed her - around 2 or 3am depending on when she fell asleep and she’ll sleep until about 6:30am.  I suspect once she starts eating more in a day or starts on solids in a month or so she’ll sleep more soundly.  At least, here’s to hoping…but Brad and I are managing okay with the sleep we do get, so we can’t complain.

Our friends Karen and Mason gave birth to their first child on Friday!  Zane Mason Rippey was born 9 lbs 2 oz and 21 inches long. He is a definite cutie and such a sweet baby.  We’re hoping to do a side-by-side photo pic with him and Maggie sometime.   He’s sure to be one of Maggie’s good playmates in the years to come. Congrats, Karen and Mason!

Hope everyone out there is enjoying a beautiful autumn.
